Dobbin Mill papers with inkjet printed imagery and text, human hair, nails
15″ x 10″ x 2.5″
The dustpan is covered with text-filled papers – ruminations catalyzed by the flurry of detritus that blanketed large portions of NYC on 9/11. The brush is no longer a separate tool but built into the base of the dustpan and made of human hairs. On the dustpan lies a book of the changing numbers of victims in additon to a piece of fabricated detritus with a text that considers what can and cannot be quantified.
